Skincare Review - Fur Signature Oil
For the past couple of months I have been testing this beautifully versatile signature oil* by FUR.
In case you aren't familiar with the brand yet, FUR was founded by 3 sisters who felt that they wanted to break the stigma within the beauty community surrounding body hair and how we care for it. They felt that products that were currently on the market were laden with chemicals and wanted to create something natural and effective to help both women and men treat and prevent common issues surrounding their unmentionable and sensitive areas.
Their signature oil* which is specifically marketed towards pubic hair and skin but can also be used anywhere on the body. I've seen other people in the beauty community mention that it's particularly effective on the cuticles, although I haven't used it for that purpose as I wanted to initially stick with it's primary intended use, I also hear that Emma Watson is a huge fan!
The other FUR product range varies from Stubble Cream, aimed at smoothing areas of hair that have been removed, to their Ingrown Concentrate which helps to soothe ingrown prone skin after hair removal and also helps the skin to fight irritations and dreaded and often very painful razor burn.
In addition to their amazing ethos, the FUR products also contain some powerful all natural ingredients including grape seed oil (soothing properties), jojoba oil (softening), clary sage oil (targets and reduces inflammation), tea tree oil (reduces and prevents ingrown's and also has anti fungal / anti bacterial properties). All of which combine together to make the products smell remarkable.
I currently use the signature oil* every night after my shower or bath, on dry, clean skin as recommended on their website. The scent of the oil is very fresh and crisp, with a light hint of citrus that quickly vanishes with absorption. The texture of the oil is beautiful, it isn't heavy and leaves no greasy residue after application.
I have significantly darker hairs around my lower leg and struggle with dark follicles there, which in contrast with my pale skin tone can often look ridiculous and make them appear very hairy when in fact they have literally just been shaved. However I have certainly noticed a difference in the coarseness of my leg hair since I began using this product and also find that they do grow back ever so slightly lighter than usual which is a huge bonus. I have also been using this product on my eyebrows where I unfortunately suffer with a lot of hair loss due to an underlying medical condition and I am super impressed with the overall results so far, there's notably much less fall out and my sparse thinning brows have also started to grow, and in reverse effect to my leg hair have even started to thicken slightly.
I currently have a mini sized version of the product which contains 14ml and according to the website is enough for 2 weeks of daily use, however you would never guess how often I use it judging by the amount of product still left in the bottle as such a small amount goes a very long way. Once this has been used up I will definitely move on to purchase the larger 75ml bottle which is described as a 6 month supply.
I honestly do really adore everything about this product and it has certainly earned it's place on my top shelf. I feel that this will be one of those purchases I make again and again and will definitely be trying some of the other products available. I can't wait to see what the future holds for FUR and what products they will launch next.
